Lewis and Clark on the Missouri -- 1804 is my vision of the way the land and Missouri River would have looked during the time that Lewis and Clark had their council with the Sioux Indians along Calumet Bluffs near Yankton, SD on August 29, 1804. Through research and Captain Lewis' drawings, I came up with this image depicting the trees, plants and bluffs where present day Lewis and Clark Lake exists. I wanted to capture the vastness of the area compared to the vessels of Lewis and Clark.
I do all my own framing and with the variety of subjects I paint, framing options are endless. Paper prints are framed and protected with acid free matting and glass. Canvas prints are either gallery wrapped or mounted to a panel board. All canvas prints are protected with a liquid laminate UV protective coating.
